BOOM! Breaking news out of Columbus as 2019 three star running back, Marcus Crowley, has committed to the Buckeyes in the way of a flip from Miami. With the commitment of Crowley, the Buckeyes are now up to 16 commits in their 2019 class, and have their second running back.
Crowley, a three star running back out of Trinity Catholic in Jacksonville has been one of the Buckeyes’ top targets since the decommitment of Sampson James. The Buckeyes offered Crowley on October 11th, and the two parties worked fast to get a commitment. Running back coach Tony Alford visited Crowley on the 22nd of October, and then Crowley visited Columbus for the Nebraska game where he was seen talking to the staff an hour after the game ended. From there, it seemed like it was only time until Crowley became a Buckeye.
This season, Crowley has rushed for 1,550 yards on 151 carries and has scored 20 touchdowns. He hails from the same high school as current Buckeye, Shaun Wade, and has been an impact player for them all season. Do not let the three star ranking fool you, he is having a dominant season and it seems to only be a matter of time until he is elevated to four star status once the rankings are updated. This is an instance where you watch the film, and see hoe dominant of a season he is really having.
Welcome to Buckeye Nation, Marcus, we are glad to have you!
