The Buckeyes bounced back today and topped the Scarlet Knights 76-62. Chris Holtmann had his team prepared as they looked sharp and controlled the game throughout. Kaleb Wesson and C.J. Jackson lead the way as the Bucks controlled Rutgers all game to come out on top rather easily.
The Buckeyes played through Kaleb Wesson early as he would absolutely tear apart Rutgers in the first 20 minutes of play. He would hit all three of his shots from behind the line stretching out the defense forcing them to defend everywhere. Kaleb finished the first half with 21 points as the clear standout early in the game. The Bucks also managed to go throughout the whole first half without a turnover. They seemed to shape up their recent sloppy ball-handling and really took care of the ball. Ohio State would be up 37-29 going into the locker room at the break.
The Buckeyes would come out in the second half and continue their success controlling every aspect of the game. C.J. Jackson got going as a scorer and helped the Bucks push their lead to double-digits. Keyshawn Woods also scored some meaningful buckets to help take an even bigger lead. They would remain up double-digits as they coasted to a 76-62 win.
